MEET THE FOUNDER

 Aesha Rose

PURPOSE DEFINED BY PASSION

It began with one defining thought.

Then that thought grew into an idea…

What if a community was created where women entrepreneurs could come together to support one another?

Where compassion replaced competition?

Where creative women could showcase and promote their art and ideas within a nurturing, empowering, and inspiring environment?

Where everyone felt welcome?

Aesha Shapiro’s seed of an idea soon grew into the Launch Your Fempire (LYF). What began as a humble backyard pop-up, showcasing 14 vendors, is now a thriving community of over 1,700 local Hawaii Island business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, and entertainers.

In March, 2020, LYF celebrated their two-year anniversary and International Women’s Day with their first inaugural LYF Networking Women’s Conference. The conference, held at the Fairmont Orchid, was a huge success - featuring lively speakers, local vendors, and fantastic networking opportunities. The theme of “Flourish, Amplify & Shine” proved more than fitting.

LYF creates opportunities for education and networking through live and online marketplaces, custom events, networking, workshops/training, coffee dates, and more.

LYF continues to adapt to the needs of its ever-growing community. The Launch Your Fempire Academy provides workshops and trainings in business growth and development led by women who are experts in their fields.

Where everyone felt welcome?

Aesha Shapiro’s seed of an idea soon grew into the Ladies Artisan Market (LAM). What began as a humble backyard pop-up, showcasing 14 vendors, is now a thriving community of over 1,200 local Hawaii Island business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, and entertainers.

In March, 2020, LAM celebrated their two-year anniversary and International Women’s Day with their first inaugural LAM Networking Women’s Conference. The conference, held at the Fairmont Orchid, was a huge success - featuring lively speakers, local vendors, and fantastic networking opportunities. BOOK A TIME

"By amplifying the voices of women and supporting their passions through LAM, Aesha has been breaking barriers and carving out new spaces for women to discover their potential."

“Women have a tendency to get a bad rap for judging ourselves and other women harshly. You provide a safe environment for support and encouragement that breaks those stereotypes, allowing women to thrive, connect and trust other women and ourselves. This is a place where extreme self-care is accepted - different modalities of healing and support that are different from the norm, organic and original selves are welcome here. Thank you, Aesha - for this forum and support.”

A Mother Inspired By Her Son

Aesha’s personal and professional values mirror those of all she creates. She is no stranger to risk-taking, resilience, and the pursuit of growth and learning - a few of LYF’s core values.

As a single mother of a son diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome, Aesha is an ardent advocate. She has orchestrated successful events and fundraisers to support and benefit those affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome as well as for the MS Society. Aesha sees challenges as opportunities. She believes that awareness and education foster compassion. Through compassion, we can better learn how to support each other.

Aesha’s son, Arrow, inspires her daily and reminds her of what matters most. Her authenticity demands that she remain honest in the fact that motherhood is challenging and that running a business while also being a mother is even harder. Communities like LYF are boosted by Aesha’s willingness to be vulnerable and thus encourage others to share their challenges in a supportive environment.

As a Holistic Health Practitioner (H.H.P.) with over two-thousand hours of training, Aesha brings a wealth of knowledge to fostering a nurturing community centered on the philosophy that by educating how to better care for our whole selves, we can in turn better care for others.

ONE-OF-A-KIND EVENTS

“I want to blow people’s minds.”

That is the intention Aesha sets before summoning her boundless creative and event-planning skills into her full-service event business, Aesha Rose Event and Design.

A passion for travel sparked Aesha’s eye for artistic and unique designs. Her vivid experiences while immersed in other cultures continue to infuse her designs will stunning, unexpected, artistic elements. Aesha is also inspired by nature and seeks ways to bring the outside in and the inside out when envisioning her event designs. She promotes and utilizes locally sourced goods and sustainable materials as a way to further support the community as well as the beautiful and diverse environment of the Big Island.

Her impulse to go above and beyond for her clients allows her to not only dream up extraordinary designs and bring them into existence, but also coordinate and oversee every detail.

As Co-Founder of the Best of Kona Festival, Aesha has a vast knowledge and familiarity with local venues and vendors provides a sense of ease and confidence when finding the perfect setting and collaborating with local resources to provide a one-of-a-kind experience.
